Today we will drive through the Arrabida Mountain Range and National Park, situated south of Estoril with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. We will stop to visit a local wine producer, where, following a brief explanation of the company’s history and a walkthrough of the ancient cellars you can taste 2 of the wines produced locally. Join us as we drive through Setubal an important port and trade city, before returning to Estoril.

Today, take in some sightseeing and shopping in Estoril or Cascais and enjoy the scenic surroundings at your own pace.
Optional Guided Excursion to Lisbon
Full Day
Today we will explore the capital city of Lisbon. Our expert local guide will take us on a panoramic tour of the city’s highlights, driving by the most important squares, avenues and quarters to be able to understand the history of the city. We will visit Belém district where there are several monuments connected with the period of the Portuguese discoveries such as the 16th-century fortress, Tour of Belem and the Church of the Monastery of Jeronimos, both classified as World Heritage, and nearby the Monument of the Discoveries (some highlights viewed from the outside with photo stops only). We shall also pass by the most important avenue of Lisbon- Avenida da Liberdade, the Marques de Pombal square, Baixa the city centre built after the earthquake of 1755 with its beautiful Rossio and Commerce squares. We will stop in the city centre where you shall have the opportunity to lunch (this will be at your own expense), explore the city on your own or even shop. (From €55/£49 per person. This excursion is subject to minimum numbers.)
Cape of Roca, Queluz, Sintra & Cascais
Guided Excursion to Cape of Roca, National Palace of Queluz, Sintra & Cascais

Our journey begins with Cape of Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe, “where the land ends and the sea begins”. We will stop to take in the amazing views and you will have a chance to capture some wonderful photos. Onwards, we will travel to Queluz and visit the Royal National Palace, this used to be the summer home to the Portuguese Royal Family representing the extravagant life of the Portuguese royalty in the 18th century. The tour will continue to Sintra, a lovely old town where the royal family formally spent their summers. A UNESCO World Heritage site, this fairytale town is located in the hills of the Sintra Mountains and is dotted with stunning palaces. You will be able to discover at your own pace, the medieval narrow streets of this town, why not take a look around some of the handicraft shops? You will also have free time for lunch. Finally, this journey will end with a stop in Cascais town and for a small walk on the beach before returning to your hotel.

Enjoy your final days in Estoril at your own pace. You can visit the nearby resort of Cascais, which was once a Royal retreat; today it is a lively town with grand mansions, beaches and a busy fishing harbour. Why not make a return visit to Lisbon for more exploration of the city at your own pace.

Today, you will transfer from your hotel to Lisbon Airport for your flight home
